Vista Del Mar Union School District Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Raymond Fausel as Superintendent/Principal on June 24, 2026.

Dear Vista Community,

It is an honor to serve as your Superintendent/Principal and to join a school community where students are known, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential. From my first conversations with our Board of Trustees and staff, I recognized Vista del Mar as a special place built on strong relationships, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine sense of community.

My career in education has included serving as a teacher, principal, and district leader, and I believe every student deserves an education that nurtures academic growth, curiosity, character, and a lifelong love of learning. I am especially excited to support the Vista Institute of Environmental Studies and the unique opportunities it provides for students to learn through exploration and connection with the natural world.

As Superintendent/Principal, I am committed to leading with integrity, collaboration, and a student-first focus while partnering with our staff, families, and community to ensure every student thrives.
